Patrice Karst, the author of The Invisible String which inspired our video about Emerald missing her friends, has generously shared her resources with Kintent!

We think The Invisible String is a great tool to help children cope with missing friends or family, separation anxiety and loss.

The Invisible String is about an invisible string that connects us all. “You can’t see it with your eyes, you can feel it deep in your heart, and know that you are always connected to the ones you love.”

As a full-time working single mother, Karst was inspired to write The Invisible String after watching her son cry each morning after dropping him off at preschool. “He would cry so much it broke her heart. She told him that an Invisible String made out of love would always connect them.”

Looking for activities to do with your kids to help integrate this idea? You will find printable and downloadable activities on Patrice’s website here:

If you enjoy these exercises, Patrice has also created The Invisible String Workbook whichis full of even more great activities based on The Invisible String.

Also written by Patrice Karst: The Invisible Leash about our forever connection with our pets and the newly released The Invisible Web, all about our global connection to each other.
